WHAT IS SENSORY PROCESSING DISORDER?

Sensory processing disorder (SPD) is a condition in which a child’s brain cannot handle information from one or more senses (sight, sound, smell, taste and touch). This can damage senses, one or several, involved. SPD is known as the process of weakening effects of things that don’t affect other people and it also affects the child by causing their body to need more stimulation in order to feel something. A lack of sensory input can make them feel unwell, and it can also have an impact on their relationships with others.
