WHAT IS PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?

Pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) aids a child in performing regular day-to-day tasks in order to build self-care, play, learn, and social skills. The children with different issues such as motor skills, learning difficulties or sensory problems are the ones that the pediatric OTs deal with. They do it by employing the usage of fun activities, games, special exercises, and tools to help them eventually get good at using the motor functions themselves. They collaborate with parents, teachers and medical professionals to tailor plans that meet the needs of each child’s specific situation and facilitate them to make living by themselves.
