WHAT IS MIXED CEREBRAL PALSY?

Mixed cerebral palsy is when a child shows signs of more than one type of cerebral palsy. This means the part of the brain controlling movement is affected uniquely. The signs can vary based on where the movement problems are and which types of cerebral palsy are mixed. These issues might affect only the legs, cause double paralysis (diplegia), affect one side of the body (hemiplegia), or all four limbs (quadriplegia). Some cases of mixed cerebral palsy might have been preventable if brain injuries were avoided, possibly due to negligence.
