The neurologic condition of developmental coordination with regard to motor competence is called developmental coordination disorder, or dyspraxia. It is a debilitating illness that makes it hard for youngsters to do basic things like write, dress, or ride a bike.
Common Signs of Dyspraxia:
Poor balance and posture
Poor hand-eye coordination
Sequencing of tasks could be problematic
Early diagnosis and appropriate interventions, like occupational or physical therapy, can make a difference in a child’s motor abilities and self-confidence.
