WHAT IS ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER (ADD)?

ADD is a medical disorder concerning children having difficulty paying attention and being able to maintain concentration. They may have short attention spans, lose focus, or fail to recall information or follow certain guidelines. ADD might make it difficult for them to complete tasks at home or at school.

While children with ADHD can display hyperactivity, children with ADD might not show any hyperactivity at all but are more likely to struggle with organizing their schedules and finishing assignments. This is often handled by utilizing strategies that aim to improve focus, such as organizing and the use of indicators. Therapy or medicine may occasionally be helpful as well. Parents and medical professionals should work together to support a kid diagnosed with ADD.
